The short answer
LiveChat prices each agent: $49 per person a month on Team, billed annually, after a $19 Starter plan for a single user. Tidio prices by billable conversations, the conversations your team replies to, and includes up to 10 seats on its Free, Starter and Growth plans. Billed annually, Tidio Starter is $24.17 a month for 100 conversations, and Growth runs from $49.17 for 250 to $290.83 for 2,000.
LiveChat's plan table shows no per-conversation fee, so its price follows your team size. Tidio's price follows your volume. For 3 agents billed annually, LiveChat Team is $147 a month at any volume; Tidio costs less up to 600 conversations a month, about the same at 1,000, and more at 2,000.

How each one charges
LiveChat: a price per person per month. Starter allows one user, with 100 visitors tracked and a 60-day chat history. Team adds unlimited users, 400 visitors tracked and unlimited chat history. Business adds 1,000 visitors tracked, a work scheduler and SMS. Its AI agent is a separate product, Text, listed from $19 per user per month.
Tidio: a price per volume of billable conversations. Tidio defines a billable conversation as a live chat, ticket, email or social media conversation that includes a message from your team; unanswered messages are not counted. Free includes 50 billable conversations a month, Starter 100, and Growth from 250 to 2,000, each with 10 seats. Its AI agent, Lyro, starts with 50 one-off conversations on every account, and a monthly Lyro plan starts at $39 a month.

What Tidio does when you pass your billable conversation limit during a month: the FAQ we read does not say. LiveChat's answers to its discount and additional-cost FAQs, which were collapsed on the page. What LiveChat's Text includes at its $19 starting price. Whether either annual price holds at renewal.
